Emergency Call-Out

Unfortunately we don’t offer an out of hours emergency call-out service. We are happy to talk to you and make an assessment of the problem over the phone, if we have the parts in stock we will respond accordingly. Beware many companies that offer an emergency service will charge you for the out-of-hours call out but may not have the new parts to fit until their suppliers open for business the next day!

It is of course a different matter if you smell gas or have water pouring through your ceiling.

If you small gas then do the following:

Open doors and windows

Don’t smoke

Put out all naked flames

Don’t operate electrical switches of any kind

Evacuate people and pets from the affected area

Turn off the gas supply using the emergency control valve (This should be clearly labeled near your gas meter)

Don’t use mobile phones in the affected area

Call TRANSCO immediately on their 24-hour gas emergency number 0800 111 999

Our hours of business are:

Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00.

We will work on Saturdays by prior appointment, usually for routine appliance servicing when you’re too busy during the week to take time off.

Our Qualifications

Gas engineers need to undertake training and pass exams for each type of gas appliance that they intend to work on. These qualifications expire every 5 years and have to be re-taken.

Every engineer should carry a Gas Safe Register card that lists all of his/her qualifications. Always ask to see this card before you allow anyone to undertake work on any gas appliance. They have worked hard for these qualifications and will be pleased to show you the card.

We hold qualifications in the following :

Core Gas Competence - all gas engineers need this basic qualification

Boilers - installation, maintenance and repair

Fires - installation, maintenance and repair

Cookers - installation, maintenance and repair

Water Heaters - installation, maintenance and repair

Flue Gas Analysers - how to use them and interpret the results

Unvented Hot Water Cylinders - installation, maintenance and repair.  Yes, believe it or not you need to be specifically trained by law to work on these water cylinders - not all plumbers are.
